Procurement of Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of 02 nos. of Uninterrupted Power Supply Units and 02 nos. of Computer Server Machines for National Intellectual Property Office

Invitation for Bids
1. The Chairperson of the Department Procurement Committee (DPC), on behalf of National Intellectual Property Office of Sri Lanka (NIPO) that functions under the purview of Ministry of Trade, Commerce and Food Security, now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of 02 nos. of Uninterrupted Power Supply Units and 02 nos. of Computers Server Machines.
2. Bidding will be conducted using the National Competitive Bidding Method and is open to all eligible bidders that meet the eligibility and qualification requirements given in the bidding documents.
3. Detailed description of schedule of requirements is given in the Bidding Document.
4. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English Language could be obtained at the Accounts Branch of National Intellectual Property Office, 2nd floor, Samagam Medura, No.400, D.R.Wijewardana Mawatha, Colombo 10 with the payment of non-refundable fee of Rs.1000.00. Bidding documents are issued from 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. on working days from 19.09.2022 to 10.10.2022.
5. A Pre-bid meeting which potential bidders may attend will be held at 11.00 a.m on 28.09.2022 at the office of NIPO at the above address. The bidders are advised to attend this meeting.
6. Duly Completed bids in 02 copies indicating “the original” and “the duplicate” should be delivered by registered post to the below mentioned address or deposited in the Tender Box kept at the Accountant’s Office, 02nd Floor of the “Samagam Medura”, National Intellectual Property Office, No 400, D.R. Wijewardena Mawatha, Colombo 10 on or before 2.00 p.m. on 11.10.2022.
7. Bids received late shall not be accepted and returned unopened. Bids sent electronically will not be accepted and will be rejected.
8. The top left-hand corner of the envelope enclosing the bidding documents should be marked as “Bid for the Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of 02 nos. of Uninterrupted Power Supply Units and 02 nos. of Computers Server Machines.”
9. Bids will be opened immediately after the bid closing time in the presence of Bidders or their authorized representatives.
10. All bids must be accompanied by bid securities of the value of Rupees 60,000.00 (Rupees Sixty Thousand in valid Sri Lankan Rupee currency units) obtained from a recognized commercial bank operating in Sri Lanka approved by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. The bid security shall be in the form of an unconditional demand bond and shall be valid up to 27.12.2022 (for a period of 77 days from the date of closing of bids). Bids not secured in the above manner are considered non-responsive bids.
11. The Departmental Procurement Committee of the National Intellectual Property Office reserves the right to reach the final decision in respect of selecting the qualified bidder.
