National Intellectual Property Office (NIPO) of Sri Lanka, in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) initiated a project to establish Technology and Innovation Support Centers (TISCs) in Sri Lanka on 28th March 2014. It provides Scientists, Innovators and Researchers easy access to patent and non- patent related technical information. When submitting applications to obtain patent protection for their inventions, the applicants are kindly advised to attach a Report on the existing Prior Art obtained from the TISC centers, which will help the patent examiners to examine such patent applications.
