Intellectual Property Electronic Search is available for public references in   Marks, Patents and  Industrial Designs at the Information desk.

 WIPO Expert Visits Sri Lanka  

A WIPO Expert is visiting Sri Lanka from Feb. 16-20, 2009 to meet artists, broadcasters and producers of  sound recording in order to promote the establishment of a Collective Society for the promotion and protection of rights of the artists and interests of the users of works of the artists.  WIPO mission takes place consequent to a Seminar organized in Colombo by the World Intellectual Property Organization and National Intellectual Property Office of Sri Lanka. The Intellectual Property Office facilitates the expert mission in Sri Lanka.

 IP Training for SAARC Diplomats  

 World Intellectual Property Organization and National Intellectual Property Office of Sri Lanka are organizing a training program for the diplomats of SAARC countries in Colombo on March 5 and 6, 2009. The program is designed to train the diplomats from the SAARC countries on  Intellectual Property, its latest developments, international negotiations relating to Intellectual Property   and economic development and Intellectual Property.
